While August seemed to pass by quickly, we managed to make the most of every day.
Residents enjoyed an informative – and timely — live Zoom presentation about the white sharks visiting close by Cape Cod’s coast.
We were privileged to be visited by the talented Janice Hannah, who led fun sing-alongs of popular songs.
We are pleased to announce that Janice, who taught music in the Barnstable schools system for over 40 years, will be visiting us frequently this fall.
Our own talented and popular pianist, resident Lourana Thomas, gifted us with another of her spirited “Name That Tune” sessions.
We also enjoyed return visits by singer-musicians Matt Browne and Rick Walsh, two of our most popular performers.
Artist Sandy Taylor guided residents in creating unique acrylic paintings of a vase brimming with colorful flowers. DH Volunteer Sydney admires Joe’s painting in the photo above.
Musician and entertainer Jana Ahnquist will return in September to reprise her Sunday morning hymn sing-along events.
Outings to Heritage Museums and Gardens are ongoing, and plans are in the works for another luncheon outing to Captain Scott’s.
