As November comes to a close, we reflect on another special month filled with engaging activities and heartfelt moments. Here’s a wrap-up!
Musical Highlights -We had the pleasure of hosting two wonderful musical performances this month. Julie Charland’s melodies filled the house with joy and nostalgia. Rick Walsh’s energizing performance had residents dancing along.
Fitness and Fun -Volunteer Donna Klucevsek from Feisty Lion brought her energy and expertise to lead our residents in Tai Chi classes, promoting relaxation and balance. She also introduced a boxing class this month, which was a smashing hit—residents loved the chance to try something new and energizing! See photo of Donna with Ralph top left! Additionally, Susan Lee Nolan visited to provide Reiki sessions for residents, adding a soothing and restorative element to our month.
Delicious Dining Adventures – Before the season ended, we made a cherished visit to Seafood Sam’s for a final taste of their delicious fare. For a cozy change of pace, we hosted a lunch-in where residents selected their favorite warm soups and hearty sandwiches from Panera. See photo top middle. Additionally, Chef Cynthia held a Smoothie-Making Workshop. She whipped up delicious smoothies, and residents enjoyed learning the art of blending fresh ingredients. See photos of Anita top middle.
Spiritually Speaking – Corpus Christi continued their visits this month, offering communion to residents who wished to partake. These moments of spiritual connection remain an important part of our community.
Creative and Crafty – Our crafting sessions were buzzing with activity this month. Residents poured their hearts into creating special crafts to honor Veterans for Veterans Day, showing their gratitude and artistic flair. See photo bottom left.
Thanksgiving Spirit – And of course, Chef Cynthia and her team made us a delicious Thanksgiving feast and our hearts and stomachs were full. See photo of Judy’s birthday celebration top right.
