July brought with it, the summer humidity! Luckily, the ice cream man visited Decatur House to cool us off! Residents enjoyed their favorite treats, from cannon balls and popsicles to ice cream sandwiches. See Margarita with her son-in-law (left) and Fran pictured below.
We also added a new Tai Chi class to our exercise regime in July, which is taught by Tilly Cardinale’s daughter, Donna Klucevsek. So many residents are loving the live instruction. We have had great participation.
The Linda Ronstadt documentary, “The Sound of my Voice” was also very well-attended. Resident Judy Ryan said, “It was so moving. It brought tears to my eyes.”
Crafting Corner has included making sea shell frames and beading activities. We’ve relished our Veterans coffee hours, movie outings and luncheons and we are having fun singing a long each week with musical volunteer, Janice Hannah!
