December brought lots of festivities, including caroling visits from Sandwich Soul (Sandwich High School) and Calvary Chapel Cape Cod, and a fun in-house carol-singing led by our own Lourana Thomas.
We were delighted by the gifts of cards and candy canes for each resident from Sandwich’s Tammy McDevitt, and crafts from resident Larry Barlow’s granddaughter Kelly Poti and her family. The family of Decatur House resident Peter Mackin sent cheerful balloons and yummy treats for all to enjoy. “It’s a wonderful life,” indeed! Thank you to ALL who helped to brighten our holidays this year.
In January, we’re excited to introduce two new programs in Activities. Local historian and retired teacher, John Shea, will present a Current Events program over Zoom, while local certified instructor Rebecca Reeves will lead a Zoom Chair Yoga class. Julie Charland returns with her lively, virtual, musical performances.
Despite the pandemic, we’re still finding ways to have fun, learn new things, stay fit, and enjoy each other’s company.
We’re wishing you all a great start to 2021!
