It’s been a lot of fun getting to know newer residents this month, as the new wing of the house starts to fill. Jane, Pat, Sherry, Jean, Ted, Don, and Linda have brought new energy, fascinating stories, and interesting ideas for programming to our community. Welcome home everyone!

March brought slightly warmer temps for St. Patrick’s Day. We were so happy when the Kanaley School of Dance paid us a socially-distanced visit!
Residents enjoyed making little gifts for staff to say thanks for all their efforts.
We’re thrilled to resume in-house visits! But faraway loved ones have remained in contact all along, through Zoom and by sending wonderful gifts like a specially-made memory book Virginia so enjoys.
This month we learned all about apples, including the legend of Johnny Appleseed and the history and uses of different varieties. Then we enjoyed a taste-test of apples, tartest to sweetest. Fuji was the big winner. We topped it off with apple muffins made from Cortlands. Yum! —Cathy Ode
