While serving as Decatur House’s Executive Director is a relatively new position for Sarah Tribuzio, she is not new to Decatur House. In fact, her wedding reception was held on the front lawn of the beautiful property 22 years ago and all of the residents were in attendance!
Her mother and father, Linda and Steve Austin, built the lovely community in order to offer a specialized, unique option for assisted living. Sarah loves working at Decatur House and feels that it’s her privilege to carry on this legacy.
She promises, “The warmth and joy you feel when you walk through the doors of Decatur House will not change, and our commitment to keeping our team and the level of care strong, will remain steadfast under my leadership as well.”
Some of the things that have been changing are what Decatur House hopes that the public will see as next generation improvements. Sarah’s used her 25 years of management, fundraising and fiscal experience to update the House’s computer systems and website and use more automation to simplify processes; build community partnerships; and expand Hospice care.
Ultimately, she hopes to offer more benefits to dedicated staff, and start a non-profit arm of Decatur House. “I have been given the opportunity to do this work and I love it. Come and see for yourself what Decatur House offers,” she says.
Sarah lives in Sagamore Beach with her husband, David; their three children, Isabella, Peter and Oliver; and two joyful dogs.
