Our first month of 2020 was quite busy. It was nice to start if off with another great performance by Julie Charland. We remembered Eleanor Roosevelt one afternoon, challenged ourselves with some fun trivia, took a couple of scenic drives around town, threw a fun art show and made ourselves cheerful winter baskets. As always, we were grateful to JoAnn for running the very popular weekly LongWord program.
The Art in US: Residents and Staff Craft Show
On January 27th handmade items created by a cohort of residents, members of our staff, and some family members were put on display in the dining room.
Exhibits included illustrations, paintings, shadow boxes, knitted items, needlework, quilts, photography, jewelry, glass and shell art, and pottery. It was fun to see and learn about everyone’s amazing artistic talents!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the show’s success including family members who came and/or delivered artwork for the show.
Let’s do it again next year!
