During April, we enjoyed an array of musical entertainment, kicking off with a live performance on the patio by Sandwich Soul, the award-winning show choir from Sandwich High School.
Vocalist-guitarist Julie Charland made a return appearance, and Cape Cod’s Denya Levine entertained us with her vocals and unique ukulele stylings.
Our new activities area, located in the lower level of the addition, is receiving high marks from residents, visitors and staff alike. Dedicated exclusively to activities, the venue is a combination of movie theater, game room, gym, bingo parlor and concert hall. Most of these types of activities are now held in our the new space.
Though many activities are taking place downstairs in the new space, we still gather on the main floor of the house for some events. For instance, Lourana conducts “Name that Tune” contests at the piano in the new addition’s Sunroom. She plays samplings of songs from popular movies and musicals for residents to try and identify.
And coming in May, CNA Drew will resume his popular pre-dinner “Trivia with Drew,” a few afternoons a week, also in the main floor Sunroom.
