While the world outside is changing, shuffling, and rethinking everything from how to support a small business to how to educate children safely, life at Decatur House remains in many ways, the same.
Though, in response to the virus threat, we’ve incorporated a myriad of COVID-19 preventative guidelines including limiting activities to in-house and modifying visitation policies, basically, our house runs the same as it did 6 months ago, pre-pandemic.
Decatur House remains clean, organized, well-stocked, and full of spirited residents doing daily activities. Residents remain well-fed and well-loved.
We are grateful to everyone—residents, family members and staff—for doing their part every day to help keep the house, thus our vulnerable residents, safe.
Moving into fall, as we hope for a vaccine and some much-needed relief from the threat of the virus we remain diligent about doing all we can to ensure the continued health and safety of our community.
