One of Decatur House’s most convenient optional in-house services comes from a partnership with Housecall Physicians. The program provides house calls from its founder Dr. Chaitra Channappa. Before Housecalls Physicians, Dr. Channappa was part of nationally renowned house call practices in New Jersey and North Caroline. Trained in Family Medicine at University of Iowa, Dr. Channappa is passionate about geriatrics and management of chronic medical conditions and palliative care.
Dr. Channappa takes pride in building a personable and efficient health care team to serve the elderly and the homebound.
Residents of Decatur House can choose to be under the care of Dr. Channappa and never have to leave home for a primary care appointment again!
