Valentine’s Day comes at just the right time every year. When the weather is cold and dark, love’s holiday brings warmth and a festive glow.
To celebrate, Chef Alana cooked up a gorgeous prime rib and served chocolate dipped strawberries for dessert. Each resident also received a beautiful, long-stemmed red rose. See photo of Fran, Kate and Connie!
A variety of Valentine’s Day crafts kept everyone in the spirit of love and kindness, as did fun musical performances by Chris Carter and Matt York. The month’s movie line-up included: “Mamma Mia, Here We Go Again,” Ground Hog Day,” “My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2,”and “Mrs. Doubtfire.”
We added a few new activities this month. Residents can now take advantage of afternoon group exercise. We also added “morning mingles” a few times a month, where residents convene in the sunroom to enjoy coffee, donuts and chit chat.
Other adventures included outings to CVS and the Dollar Tree, scenic drives with Linda, and lunch at the Canal Side restaurant at the Upper Cape Tech School. Those who attended raved about the tasty lunch and great conversation.
